Keeping the Tenants of the building safe and secure both during the working day and after hours is of utmost importance to Building Managment.  Recent breaches in building security have caused us to alter the building security plan; in particular, the ADT automated door locking system used on the main lobby doors.  A schedule of the times when the doors will be unlocked is as follows.  All other times will require the use of an access card.

***Access cards will be required for entry at all times during the weekend (6:30pm Friday night to 7:00am Monday morning).

We hope this change in schedule will drastically reduce the number of unauthorized visitors to the building without causing an inconvenience to our Tenants.  However, we feel that each person's safety is everyone's responsibility.  That being the case, we ask that you follow a few tips to assist with building security...

• Lock your Suite entrance doors at the completion of each work day.
• Never prop open the lobby doors for any reason.
• Close any lobby doors that you observe to be propped open.
• Main building accesses from retail spaces are only to be used in the event of an emergency.  Retail Tenants are responsible for the policing of these common area entrances.
• Report ADT system failures and any suspicious persons or activities to the Lincoln Harris Response Center: (800) 933-4357, Location Code: HC-1444.
• Carry your access card with you at all times to avoid being denied access to the building.
• Access cards are assigned to individuals, by name.  Never give your access card to another person.

Our goal is for 177 Meeting Street to continue being one of the premiere office buildings in the historic downtown Charleston area.  Having a safe and secure building is an integral part of achieving that goal.  We appreciate your help in keeping the building safe!
